Job Summary
Provide direct support and personal care, including hygiene, bathing, grooming, toileting, oral care, dressing, and personal safety. Promote independence by teaching self-help and social skills while administering medications and monitoring health needs. Implement support plans and document progress in the Electronic Health Record, ensuring safety and reporting any abuse or neglect immediately. Drive agency vehicles to transport individuals safely, maintaining logs, and provide coverage at alternate program sites as needed. Complete required training and maintain certifications in SCIP-R, First Aid/CPR, and medication administration. Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm in Rochester, NY, with a starting wage of $20.52 per hour. No prior experience required; paid training and coaching are provided.
Required Qualifications
- A compassionate, dependable, and caring nature
- Ability to read and follow service plans and safety protocols
- Basic computer skills for documentation in EHR
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt to different situations
- Valid Driver's License
- At least 2 years of driving experience
- Must meet Lifetime Assistance's Vehicle Operator Requirements
- Must successfully pass all required background checks and clearances
- Physical ability to assist individuals, including lifting/moving up to 35 pounds
- Physical ability to stand
- Physical ability to walk
- Physical ability to bend
- Physical ability to kneel
- Physical ability to perform occasional extended driving
