Job Summary
Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings by maintaining consistent engagement, fostering independence, and ensuring safe environments. Provide person-centered supports including personal hygiene, medication administration, transportation, and skill-building to encourage self-advocacy and social connections. Utilize Positive Support Programs to guide daily interactions and provide accurate documentation at the end of each shift. This role requires working Monday through Friday from 7am-5pm, with residential shifts including evenings, overnights, and weekends. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and pass background checks. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Must be able to lift individuals to and from wheelchairs
- Must be able to intervene in aggressive situations
- Must be able to support a person to and from a shower
- Must be able to use a gait belt in a safe and dignified way
- Must be able to provide transportation for the people we support
- Must be able to administer medication
- Must be able to provide accurate documentation
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to create safe environments
- Must be able to maintain consistent engagement with the people you are supporting
- Must be able to support people in understanding and exercising their rights
- Must be able to encourage people to live a fulfilling life as independently as possible through self-advocacy
- Must be able to provide the best person-centered supports to meet people's needs throughout their lives
- Must be able to support and encourage positive interactions
- Must be able to improve social connections and relationships
- Must be able to support and encourage participation in groups or organizations in line with a person's personal interests to meet recreational and social needs

- Must successfully complete and pass all checks including: Nebraska Child/Adult Protective Services Central Registry check
- Must successfully complete and pass all checks including: Criminal background check
- Must have a reliable vehicle at every shift
- Must be available Monday through Friday: 7am-5pm
- Must be available for Residential Hours: Evenings: 3pm-10pm, Overnights: 10pm-8:3am, and Days Sat/Sun: 8am-3pm
