Job Summary

Deliver on-site, client-centered programming including Life Skills Training, personal development, arts and crafts, recreation, and educational programs to promote autonomy and self-esteem for residents with neurodivergence. Provide hygiene and daily living support, manage room safety checks, prepare food, and perform cleaning duties for overnight staff. Implement therapeutic programming, advocate for clients within and outside the agency, and respond to crisis situations while adhering to trauma-informed care principles. Assist with medication administration, individualized plans, and community integration activities. Work flexible day, evening, weekend, or overnight shifts across multiple Ontario locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Verbal and Written Communication in English
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (completed or in progress), Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Child and Youth Worker/ Child and Youth Care, Disability Support Worker or other related fields
  • Broad Record Check (current within 6 months)
  • Employee Medical Test with Hep B, and a 2-part TB test
  • Proof of Immunization record
  • Consent to CAS SAFE records check
  • Possess $1,000,000 Liability Automobile Insurance
  • Valid G Driver's License
  • Have access to a vehicle at work
  • First Aid/ CPR- Level C
  • Experience working with children and/ or youth with disabilities
  • Experience with individualized plans
  • Experience with Life/social skills programming
  • Experience with implementing behavioural interventions and programming
  • Experience in Trauma Informed Care
  • Experience managing and responding to crisis situations
  • Experience in medication administration
  • Cooking and cleaning skills
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to set priorities to manage time within deadlines
  • Ability to follow directions and work as a member of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Available to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
