Direct Support Professional (Caregiver) Full Time - Kansas City Area

Job Summary
Support adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities by helping individuals access resources, participate in social activities, and learn independent living skills like cooking and money management. Provide transportation for appointments and outings, assist with daily living needs including personal care and hygiene, and document client progress while following each individual's support plan. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members, and participate in regular meetings and training sessions. Work varying shifts including weekends, with some travel required. Full-time employees work 30+ hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to work primarily in clients' homes and community settings
- Ability to travel
