Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional / Caregiver Float Staff role involves providing direct care within residential group homes, specifically for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The position requires a dependable candidate capable of working in multiple locations, engaging in positive behavior supports, and assisting with daily living activities.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of DSP/Caregiving experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is required.
- Must have valid driver's license & vehicle to travel between programs and provide transportation to clients.
- Must be able to work flexible hours (day/swing shift and weekend availability required).
- Must be able and willing to learn different supports, from medical to behavioral.
- Good communication is key in this role. You’ll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members.
- Must be able to provide references.
- 18 years of age or older (required)
- Able to attend two weeks of PAID in-house orientation and training.
