Job Summary
Assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily routines, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and community transportation. Provide direct support and coaching to help participants achieve social goals and interact positively with others. Maintain accurate progress notes and communicate participant needs to the team while adhering to C.A.R.E. values of compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment. Participate in required training, team meetings, and ongoing coaching to build skills and support colleagues. Work swing shifts from 2pm to 10pm, Tuesday through Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday off.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years old
- Relevant experience working with Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement
- Current driver's license
- California automobile insurance coverage for driving your personal vehicle to and from various community locations either independently or with other team members and/or Individuals
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- 21 years of age (if a company vehicle is available for use)
