Job Summary
Direct Support Professional responsibilities include providing hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges, assisting with personal care (dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing), following individualized care plans, documenting progress, administering medications per policy, maintaining a safe environment, using approved behavior support techniques, and promoting community engagement. Role may involve travel between Residential and Day programs; requires ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs and a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with driving history requirements (3 years unsuspended with <=3 points or 2 years unsuspended with clean record)
- Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!)
