Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides day-to-day care and support to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. Responsibilities include encouraging residents to meet personal goals per person-centered and behavior plans, maintaining a safe and respectful environment, meal preparation and housekeeping, transportation and advocacy, medication administration, 24/7 availability in homes requiring around-the-clock care, supervision of daily activities, and supporting life skills and social engagement. The role requires a compassionate, reliable team player who is willing to learn and capable of handling environments with potential challenging behaviors. Training is provided on the job, with certifications in CPR, de-escalation, and medication administration. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license
