Job Summary
Conduct behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data while assisting with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and money management. Provide personal care and supervision, teaching functional skills to help individuals achieve personal goals and transition to less restrictive settings. Accompany residents to healthcare appointments and community outings, resolving problem behaviors using approved crisis techniques. Complete required paperwork, maintain documentation, and communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and family members. Work full-time on the second shift (Sun 9a-11p, Mon/Tue 3p-11p) in Toms River, NJ, earning $19.06-$19.44.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License in the candidates' legal name and current address
- One year minimum driving experience
- License in good standing and free of restrictions
- Minimum of six months related work experience OR Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Aspiration to work with autistic, intellectually and developmentally challenged individuals
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must be available for 2nd shift: Sun: 9a-11p, Monday and Tuesday: 3p-11p
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
