Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) at BALMORAL shifts providing hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to promote independence and dignity. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care (dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing), following individualized care plans and documenting progress, administering medications per policy, maintaining a safe environment, using approved behavior support techniques, and encouraging community engagement. Some DSP roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs. Requires high school diploma or GED and a valid U.S. driver’s license; lifting 50+ lbs may be needed. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with driving history requirements as stated
