Job Summary
Outline and prepare daily routines for clients based on their Individual Program Plans. Assist with personal care tasks including bathroom needs, changing clothing, and preparing meals. Transport clients to and from their homes or facilities using company vans. Obtain the Direct Support Professional Certificate and RBT within the first year of employment. Maintain a valid California driver's license and pass all pre-employment background checks. This role supports individuals with developmental disabilities through person-centered services in the Bakersfield area.
Required Qualifications
- Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2
- Must obtain Direct Support Professional Certificate within first 12 months of Hire
- RBT certification
- Must obtain RBT within the 1st Year of Employment
- First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- California Driver's License
- Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check
- Must be able to lift 30lbs
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
