Job Summary
ASPIRE is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include administering medications, supporting participants in their daily activities, and maintaining a compassionate and dependable presence. Candidates must have a high school diploma, be at least 18 years old, and complete necessary training and background checks. The role requires the ability to lift at least 50 lbs and navigate technology. Positions offer 36 hours of work per week, with flexible schedules and competitive pay.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must successfully complete and maintain Medication Administration training certification.
- Pass qualifying criminal background checks which includes motor vehicle driving records.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., bend, kneel, squat, climb stairs, push/pull wheelchairs.
Desired Qualifications
- Basic fluency in oral and written English.
- Computer experience and comfort with navigation with technology.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability required upon hire.
- Safe driving record and at least 3 years of driving experience if under 21.
