Job Summary
Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and skill-building. Encourage social engagement by supporting clients in shopping, attending events, or participating in hobbies. Follow individualized support plans and maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and incidents. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling ranging from 10–25 hours per week, with evening and weekend options available. We provide training for those without prior experience in this field.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
- Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and community activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to diverse needs and preferences
- Willingness to assist with personal care and follow detailed support plans
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Additional education or training in human services or a related field
