Job Summary
Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by assisting with daily routines, including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene. Monitor health needs, report concerns immediately, and help individuals develop independent community-based skills while participating in social and recreational activities. Drive individuals to medical appointments and ensure program documentation is completed accurately. Build support networks with families and community members. Full-time role in Bowie, MD starting at $17.65 per hour with no experience required; paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
- Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
