Job Summary
Provide high-quality personal care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group-home settings. Support residents in medications administration, cooking, dressing, personal hygiene, and cleaning; assist with community outings and home visits. Drive to transport people served, run errands, or perform other duties. Communicate professionally with families, medical professionals, and others. Learn and follow Behavior Support Plans, perform nursing tasks as trained, monitor health indicators (vital signs, weight, mood, sleep), and ensure the rights of people served are upheld. Work may occur at assigned group homes with potential coverage at other locations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Licensed driver with at least two years' driving experience required for day and swing shifts
- Ability to pass a background check
- Knows basic cooking skills and willing to learn new recipes
- Knows basic cleaning skills
- Willing to be flexible and learn new skills
- Preference for applicants who can work at least one weekend day
