Job Summary
Direct Support Professional responsible for assisting participants with daily living activities, health and safety, implementing Plan of Care, documenting progress, administering medications with accuracy, and participating in team meetings. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, experience with adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities, CPR/First Aid training, and ability to follow written/oral instructions. Includes duties such as grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, transfers, documenting records, community involvement, and collaboration with staff; requires flexible schedule and commitment to policy compliance and client rights.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Must have at least one year of professional experience working with adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
- Must complete all required training as outlined by DDID regulations, including first aid and CPR certification
- Must be able to read, understand and implement written and oral instructions
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing
- Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of auto insurance
