Job Summary
Direct Support Professional to support individuals with developmental disabilities in group homes. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation), administering medications and monitoring vital signs, maintaining a clean and safe living environment, coordinating social activities and community outings, using mobility equipment (e.g., Hoyer lifts) with proper techniques, documenting daily activities and incidents, maintaining HIPAA confidentiality, and implementing individualized care plans. Requires strong observation and communication skills and the ability to lift heavy items. Training includes paid orientation and opportunities for First Aid/CPR certification; benefits include health/dental insurance, paid time off, paid training, and 401K contributions. Location: Killingly, CT area with hours noted as 32 per week; role aligned with non-profit Whole Life services in Connecticut.
