Job Summary
Work directly with vulnerable adults living with mental illnesses, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being at all times. Assist persons served with active treatment services, daily living skills, medication administration, and continued development while supporting the Designated Coordinator with scheduling, payroll, and documentation tasks. Implement care plans, manage transportation, and facilitate stakeholder interactions. Apply de-escalation and redirection skills to maintain a safe, welcoming home environment. Requires 2+ years of client care experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to pass background checks.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a DHS background and Motor Vehicle Records check
- 2+ years of experience in a group home, DSP, or client care role
- 2+ years of experience in de-escalation/redirection skills
- 1+ years in a lead or supervisory role in a similar setting
- Must be physically able to perform all job duties, including lifting, transfers, and emergency interventions
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
