Job Summary
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work with youth with developmental disabilities to teach life, social, and communication skills, assist with daily living activities, and implement behavior interventions. Responsibilities include using trauma-informed communication, encouraging self-expression, maintaining records, managing crises with de-escalation techniques, and collaborating with leads on incidents. No prior experience is necessary as training is provided. The position offers full-time or part-time scheduling with second shift hours (3:00 pm to 12:00 am) and competitive hourly pay ranging from $20.00 to $23.00.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Behavioral skills and judgment conducive to role modeling appropriate skills for students
- High school diploma or equivalent
