Job Summary
As a Direct Support Professional, you will train, support, and guide individuals served in production and day programming skills while promoting growth, well-being, and autonomy. Responsibilities include implementing behavior supports, assisting with vocational assessments, supporting other DSPs, and maintaining accurate records. You will also ensure quality control of production work, become medication certified, and lead emergency procedures, including monthly fire drills. The role requires a minimum of a high school diploma, experience with supporting individuals with disabilities, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months experience as a DSP or similar role
- Experience supporting people with disabilities
- Strong knowledge of behavior supports, vocational training, and team collaboration
- Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record
- Ability to assist with lifting and transfers up to 50 lbs
