Job Summary
Direct Support Professional 1 provides personal care and support to adults with developmental disabilities in home or community settings. Responsibilities include grooming, meal preparation, mobility support, assisting with medical appointments, documenting logs, ensuring health and safety, and coordinating with DSP 2/3 and Area Coordinator. Requires high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), one year of related experience, California driver’s license with clean DMV record, CPR/First Aid certification, successful background check (Live Scan) and I-9 eligibility to work in the U.S. Compensation is $19.50-$21.50/hour; at-will employment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of experience providing care to persons with developmental disabilities
- Valid California driver’s license
- DMV record for the past 7 years
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification for adults and children
- Background check/fingerprint clearance
- I-9 proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
