Job Summary
Direct Support Professional 1-EOP Psych. Rehab assists individuals in the Social Rehabilitation Program with daily living and training activities, including skills such as personal hygiene, communication, pre-vocational and functional/educational skills, arts & crafts, social and recreational activities, mobility and inclusion. Responsibilities include engaging with external referral sources, scheduling intakes, coordinating with Case Management and Therapists, assigning attendance based on consumer levels, observing and reporting changes, maintaining program cleanliness, assisting in developing service plans, managing a small in-program store with petty cash, and ensuring compliance with policies and confidentiality. Requires completion of program-required certifications and clearances, valid PA driver’s license, safe driving record, and eligibility not excluded from federal health programs; offers benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Must successfully complete course requirements for certifications, as may be required by program
- Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the Pennsylvania State Police
- Must obtain Child Abuse Clearance from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services
- Must obtain FBI Fingerprint Clearances
- Must have a valid Pennsylvania Drivers License and safe driving record
- Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health care program
