Job Summary
Manage one volunteer's day habilitation plan by executing service activities in self-care, recreation, and community inclusion while assisting with crisis behavior management. Collect data, write narrative notes, and document observations to ensure accurate assessments of the volunteer's capabilities and clinical needs. Report changes in behavior, function, and physical condition to the Site Manager, PC, and health office to maintain safety and oversight. Attend scheduled meetings regarding volunteer status and participate in in-service training on topics related to the MR/DD population. Perform additional duties as requested, including driving and adherence to corporate compliance, while maintaining the volunteer's record book.
Required Qualifications
- AMAP AND SCIP-R
- Qualified NYS driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months experience supporting people with developmental disabilities preferred
- Proficient in all areas of verbal, written and reading skills
