Job Summary

Provide personal care and health support, including hygiene, grooming, toileting, medication administration, vital signs, and medical appointments. Support nutrition and mealtime activities, maintain a safe, clean, and organized residential environment, and promote individual development through skill-building, recreation, and transportation. Encourage positive interpersonal relationships and document individual progress while participating in program planning and staff training. Apply approved behavior management techniques and respond appropriately to emergencies. Work as a floater/on-call DSP in a residential setting, providing a minimum of 16 hours per week with morning and evening availability.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • SCIP-R Certification
  • AMAP Certification
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (current or able to obtain within six (6) months of hire)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Morning and evening availability ({7am-3:30pm} and {3pm-11:30pm})
  • Minimum 16 hours/week
  • Residential setting (onsite)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience providing direct care to adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities
