Job Summary
Direct Support Lead supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by assisting with daily activities, supervising a team of Caregivers, facilitating ISP implementation, and participating in administrative duties such as hiring, training, scheduling, and oversight. Responsibilities include supervising staff, assisting with meal planning, medication administration, and personal care, organizing and maintaining staffing/schedules, and facilitating community outings or transportation to work or activities. This role blends direct service with program activities and requires strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills to ensure quality supports and program operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year related work experience
- Must be 18 years or older
- Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
- Other licensure or certification where required by regulatory authority
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
