Job Summary
Provide direct supervision and ensure the safety and security of youth aged 12-21 with diagnoses including mood disorders, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder. Deliver therapeutic interventions within a DBT clinical model by engaging youth in meaningful ways, teaching appropriate behaviors, and reinforcing positive actions. Assist with Activities of Daily Living skills and facilitate participation in individual therapy and DBT skills groups. Maintain accurate documentation of progress notes and incident reports using strong organizational and communication abilities. Work in a 1:3 ratio environment with opportunities to collaborate with clinicians, nurses, and therapists on treatment plans.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA
- Must be MAPS certified, or able to obtain certification within 6 months of employment
- Devereux is a drug-free workplace, drug screening required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred
