Job Summary
Promote and sell Abbott's Insertable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) devices to physicians, medical laboratories, distributors, and hospitals within an assigned territory. Build business plans with management to identify and develop new accounts while educating clients on product use, troubleshooting, and technical specifications. Manage physical inventory, analyze sales statistics, prepare reports, and handle administrative duties such as expense reporting and travel planning. Attend trade shows and conferences to showcase new technologies and resolve client problems. Ensure patient information is completed and forwarded for tracing when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
- Two plus years of sales or clinical support experience
- Proven experience influencing customers in a healthcare-related setting
- Two plus years of documented success in medical device
- An aptitude to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices
- Ability to work with and direct others effectively
- Ability to prepare and present strong written and verbal communications
- Familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations and procedures
- Documented record and/or aptitude of delivering sales/marketing information to influence customer decision-making
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, physicians, hospital administrators, government agencies, medical groups, and other sales representatives
