Job Summary
Conduct residential door-to-door canvassing targeting approximately 800 homes monthly and represent Dobson Fiber at community and multi-family property sales events. Execute independent turf management plans by visiting every home within assigned territories to perform consultative needs analyses, develop rapport, and present tailored sales proposals. Acquire new customers by evaluating existing and potential product needs while accurately completing all sales paperwork and reporting consistent with quality control guidelines. Maintain awareness of competitor pricing and tactics to inform management of changing directives. Work full-time with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, utilizing advanced product knowledge and competitive analysis to maximize sales performance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivator with a knack for working independently
- Proficient computer and technical skills
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Valid driver license
- Car insurance
- Satisfactory driving record
- Ability to walk and/or travel door-to-door for considerable distances in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to work full time
- Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance
- Ability to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications
- Familiarity with consumer and commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, set-top converters, and wireless devices)
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
