Direct Procurement Specialist

Job Summary
Execute purchase orders within the ERP system, track shipments for on-time delivery, and maintain accurate master data including pricing, lead times, and safety stock levels. Source chemical raw materials by interpreting molecular specifications, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with R&D or Quality teams to vet new suppliers. Resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable and manage supplier material returns through the RMA process. Compile monthly supplier scorecards tracking KPIs such as OTIF delivery and defect rates to ensure 100% supply continuity for manufacturing lines. Requires 1–3 years of procurement experience, a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field, and fluency in English and Malay.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain coordination, or inventory management
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Malay
- Strong attention to detail
- Sense of urgency
- Clear communication
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret chemical specifications and molecule data to identify and source correct raw materials
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with an ERP system (SAP)
- Proficiency in Mandarin
