Job Summary
Direct Care Worker responsible for supervising and engaging children in a residential setting, applying positive behavioral supports, creating and following daily activity plans, assisting with homework, maintaining living areas and records, and ensuring safety. Requires fluency in English and Spanish, high school diploma (associate degree preferred), 1 year of child welfare or related experience, first aid/CPR/Emergency behavior intervention certifications, and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays while complying with regulatory and agency policies.
Required Qualifications
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Provide proof of work eligibility
- Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks
- Demonstrate cultural and socio-economic sensitivity
- Work collaboratively with others
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Maintain computer literacy
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrate knowledge of agency policies and procedures
