Job Summary
Plan meals according to specific dietary requirements, maintain a safe and clean environment through light housekeeping, and provide companionship and stimulation for consumers. Perform personal care tasks including toileting, hair care, oral hygiene, bathing, and grooming while assisting with ambulation using mechanical aids. Accompany consumers to medical appointments, handle grocery shopping and errands, and complete mandatory annual training. Must be at least 18 years old, physically able to perform duties, speak English, and have reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- A PCW/DCW must complete the agency's employment process
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position
- Must exhibit mature, responsible behavior, and understand the need for consumer confidentiality
- Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English
- Must be able to follow directions and accurately report to the RN Supervisor any change in consumer's condition
- Must have reliable transportation to and from assignments
