Job Summary
Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, feeding, and oral hygiene. Support mobility through ambulation, transferring, and positioning clients in bed while performing light housekeeping and preparing meals. Monitor changes in physical or emotional health, document care via telephony system, and maintain a clean, safe environment using appropriate PPE. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations while working one-on-one in clients' homes. Must be at least 18 years old, certified or pass a skills test, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Clearances include PA State Police, FBI, and TB testing. Bi-weekly pay ranges from $13.50 to $14.50 per hour with flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Completion of a formal certification program or ability to pass a skills/competency test
- Ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
- Neat appearance and good personal hygiene
- Dependability, reliability, and sound judgment
- Friendly, patient, and respectful with a sincere interest in caring for others
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical caregiving tasks
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Must be able to work at least two weekends per month as scheduled
Desired Qualifications
- Valid driver's license, insured vehicle in good repair, and clean driving record
- Ability to travel independently to clients' homes (unless exempt)
