Job Summary
Conduct daily personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation for participants while maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards. Ensure all duties are performed safely by remaining free from health issues that could injure the consumer, self, or co-workers. Complete a criminal background check and obtain required training meeting HLTL, DOH, CHHC, or agency-specific criteria under PA Code 611.55 Chapter 52. Hold a high school diploma and demonstrate full comprehension of participant needs and care protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of one of the following: a.) Minimum training meeting the requirement of HLTL, DOH, and CHHC b.) Training program developed by the agency which meets the criteria set forth in PA Code 611.55 Chapter 52 c.) Nurse aid certification and training program sponsored by the PA Department of Education
- Must be free from health problems that may be injurious to participant/consumer, self and co-workers
- Must comprehend the basics of personal care, housekeeping and meal preparation
- Must understand and respect participant/consumer including ethics and confidentiality of care
- Must have a complete criminal background check
