Direct Care Staff PM - St. PJ's Children's Home

Direct Care Staff PM at St. PJ's Children's Home provides daily care and supervision for children in an emergency shelter, ensuring health, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities include establishing a consistent daily routine, planning engaging activities, supervising activities and environment, maintaining cleanliness and supplies, recognizing illness and administering medications as prescribed, transporting children when necessary, building trusting supportive relationships, guiding behavior with positive reinforcement, participating in education and enrichment activities, coordinating with parents/caseworkers/therapists, contributing to the Therapeutic Intervention Plan (TIP), completing required documentation (incident reports, daily logs, etc.), and supporting team leadership. The role requires emotional intelligence, de-escalation skills, critical thinking, teamwork, and adherence to safety and confidentiality policies; mandatory training participation and a 10-day new employee orientation are required.
