Job Summary
Direct Care Specialist in Madison Youth Ranch (2nd Shift) provides trauma-informed, evidence-based care to children and families in group homes, foster care, and independent living programs. Responsibilities include working with youth who have experienced trauma, maintaining accurate and detailed case notes, communicating effectively with co-workers, setting appropriate limits and boundaries, handling confidential issues, observing and reporting findings, responding to emergencies with proper protocols, and building trusting relationships with youth. Requires strong writing and communication skills, energy and flexibility to meet changing needs, and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds. Minimum 1 year experience with children/families and a high school diploma or GED; clean driving record; Diana Screen completion required.
