Job Summary
Assist clients with daily living activities including meal preparation, hygiene care, and household organization. Provide transportation to appointments and errands while implementing individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies. Encourage positive behaviors, promote client dignity and community involvement, and maintain professional boundaries. Complete accurate documentation, progress notes, and incident reports following APD guidelines and agency protocols. Respond to behavioral or medical emergencies as needed and communicate effectively with agency leadership, families, and support coordinators. Work part-time (15-20 hours) Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 6 PM in Pensacola, FL. This role offers paid internship credit and college credits for Psychology, Special Education, and ABA majors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for professional use (gas/mileage not reimbursed)
- Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs
- Demonstrated ability to manage client care and safety with limited supervision
- Personal smartphone required for app-based scheduling and client communication
- CPR/First Aid Certification (required within 30 days of onboarding)
- APD Training Certificates (required within 30 days of onboarding)
Desired Qualifications
- CNA, BLS, HHA, or DSP certifications preferred (not required)
