Job Summary
Teach daily living skills, self-care, and home management to adult clients within assigned Supervised Group Living Homes. Provide direct support while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and infection prevention protocols, including immunization documentation and disease prevention measures. This role requires a high school diploma, documented competence in severe and persistent mental illnesses, and CPR certification. Candidates must hold a valid Indiana driver's license, own a vehicle, and possess the physical ability to visit clients, including climbing stairs. Ability to work variable hours is essential. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Able to work variable work hours to accommodate specific staffing needs
- Must have sight and hearing to be able to observe client behavior and communicate with clients
- Must have own automobile to drive to and be ambulatory to visit the clients in their home, when necessary, which may involve climbing stairs
- Have and maintain a valid Indiana driver's license and proof of automobile insurance upon demand
Desired Qualifications
- Documented competence in understanding severe and persistent mental illnesses and establishing therapeutic communication and interactions
- Competency to teach and demonstrate day-to-day living skills to adult clients
- Has or be willing to obtain CPR Certification
- Patience and empathy with the ability to accept clients at their level of functioning
- Able to uphold professional standards as a representative of the organization
