Job Summary
Manage a group of up to 12 adolescents (ages 8-21) in the boarding environment by maintaining full accountability, including nightly bed checks after 9pm. Teach and coach students through activities of daily living, facilitate group activities, and implement instruction tailored to each child's cognitive, emotional, social, and psychological development. Effectively manage behavioral incidents within the cottage milieu using PBIS and token economy principles, while communicating pertinent information to supervisors, clinicians, and nurses. Document shift happenings at the conclusion of the shift and establish a safe, clean, nurturing living environment. Work Monday through Friday or Saturday/Sunday evenings from 3pm-11pm as part of Team A or Team B.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess and maintains a valid drivers' license
- Devereux is a drug-free workplace, drug screening required
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of Human Services experience working with children, adolescents, and adults
