Job Summary
Direct Care Staff (full-time and part-time) at Phoenix Residential in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX provide a calm, structured, and therapeutic environment for youth, supervise daily routines, support de-escalation using trauma-informed care and TBRI strategies, document incidents and progress notes, transport youth to school and medical appointments, and collaborate with supervisors and clinical treatment teams on individual care plans. The role emphasizes staying regulated under pressure, reliability, thorough documentation, teamwork, and a passion for youth development. Training in trauma-informed care and TBRI is provided with clear advancement pathways into Lead Staff and supervisory roles. What You'll Do includes supervising youth, maintaining safety and structure, supporting meals/school/recreation/group sessions, applying trauma-informed strategies, incident documentation, transport, and partnership with the treatment team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Age 23 or older (Texas state licensing requirement)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass FBI fingerprinting and drug screening
