Job Summary
Direct Care Aide provides compassionate and dignified care to residents during activities of daily living, connects with residents and families in a compassionate manner, participates in ongoing education through seminars and staff meetings, and adheres to privacy rules regarding resident information. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to demonstrate love, compassion, and dignity in care, and is supported by benefits including medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401(k) match, and daily pay options.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED equivalent required
- Successful completion of a personal care aide/direct care aide training approved by the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Service and/or completion of at least one clinical course including 40 hours of direct care experience
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
