Job Summary
Provide support, evaluation and treatment to individuals with developmental disabilities living in a residential setting under the supervision of the Residential Manager. Responsibilities include writing monthly progress notes and assessments, developing and implementing Individual Support Plans and behavior plans, supervising and evaluating individuals in community living activities, administering medications as required, transporting individuals when needed, documenting thoroughly, and maintaining a safe, clean residence. Must hold a valid driver’s license, be able to authorize background checks, and complete mandated trainings. High school diploma or equivalent required; experience or education in psychology, social work or related human services preferred. Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI)
- Ability to administer medications as required following procedures
- Fluent in English and able to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Experience or training in working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and basic computer skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting (up to 60 pounds) and assisting with transfers
- Willingness to participate in state and agency mandated trainings
