Job Summary

Oversee end-to-end payroll operations and benefits programs across all employees, ensuring accurate, timely processing of wages, bonuses, and commissions while maintaining strict compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations. Lead the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment processes, manage vendor relationships, and drive cost-containment strategies for health, dental, and retirement plans. Direct the payroll and benefits team, mentor staff, and lead internal and external audits to ensure data accuracy and security within HRIS systems. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and HR to develop policies and process improvements, leveraging data analytics to inform decision-making. This role reports to the VP, Payroll & Benefits, supporting OEG's vision as a global leader in sports and entertainment.

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in payroll, benefits administration
  • Experience with tax regulations, payroll deductions, retirement plans, and leave management programs
  • Knowledge in employment standards and labor laws
  • Experience in budgeting and financial analysis
  • Several years of leadership or management experience supervising payroll and benefits teams
  • Experience with large-scale payroll systems and benefits programs

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) in Canada
