Job Summary
Dir, Outside Plant (OSP) leads all aspects of the organization’s OSP, maintenance, and operational functions, driving long-term strategy, budget discipline, and a culture of ownership and operational excellence. Responsibilities include owning mission and results, providing leadership across direct and indirect reports, setting measurable goals, hiring and developing talent, delivering performance feedback, managing budgets, and driving continuous improvement. Competencies include accountability, collaboration, communication, compliance, customer focus, reliability, and results. Requires extensive experience in OSP design, construction, and maintenance across fiber, copper, and related plant; strong vendor management, change management, and cross-functional leadership; and driving projects from design through deployment within telecom/broadband contexts.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Network Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressive experience in outside plant engineering, construction, and/or network infrastructure in a telecommunications, broadband, fiber, cable, or utility environment, to include:
- At least five (5) years of experience overseeing large-scale OSP programs.
- At least five (5) years of experience delivering complex, capital-intensive infrastructure projects from design through deployment.
- At least five (5) years of supervisor/manager experience leading cross-functional teams.
