Job Summary
Lead development of study protocols, analysis plans, and study reports to address priority RWE questions; design and manage epidemiological, biomarker, and data science projects; conduct analyses for internal/external decision-making (e.g., regulatory responses, safety queries); identify fit-for-purpose data from real-world sources (claims, EHR) and construct cohorts; contribute to the communication of methods/results in regulatory documents, reports, publications, and white papers; coauthor abstracts/manuscripts for external dissemination; develop processes to improve efficiency/quality of functional activities; bring deep expertise in observational research methods, biostatistics, data sources, and regulatory processes; provide subject-matter expertise for descriptive and comparative RWE using real-world data (claims, EHR, PRO/COA, registry data); translate research questions into study designs and collaborate across cross-functional teams to advance drug development and commercialization objectives.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Psychometrics, or related field (minimum four years post-doctoral experience preferred in pharmaceutical/biotech contexts) OR Master’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, or related field with 7-9 years of experience in lieu of PhD
- Deep understanding of observational research methods and ability to support observational study design, protocol, statistical analysis plan, and study report development
- Extensive knowledge of secondary data sources and experience with secondary data analysis (EMR, medical claims)
- Demonstrated record of scientific publications in observational study design, analysis, and interpretation
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across matrixed teams
- Experience leading drug development projects in relevant therapeutic areas (2+ years preferred)
