Job Summary
Dir-Engineering-A leads engineering operations for a Marriott property, managing budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation. Responsible for maintaining standards, regulatory compliance, life-safety systems, and asset protection, while steering profitability and coordinating with property and regional leadership. Oversees engineering leadership, curates operating strategies aligned with the property’s business goals, administers service contracts, and ensures timely project delivery within budget. Requires a high school diploma or GED with 6 years of relevant experience (or a 2-year degree with 4 years of related experience) and technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing. Strong emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, cost control, and leadership of a maintenance organization in a hospitality setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 6 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 4 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
