DIR Clinical Education Cardiovascular Sonography

Job Summary
Initiate, administer, and document clinical education programs while securing and maintaining affiliation agreements for student placements. Coordinate clinical rotations with didactic courses, visit clinical affiliates to ensure student objectives are met, and review student records for immunizations, background checks, and drug testing compliance. Orient and train clinical instructors, supervise students at sites and in the classroom, and mentor students to achieve licensure and placement outcomes. Serve as Instructor of Record for didactic or laboratory courses as assigned and assist with accreditor requirements including advisory meetings and self-studies. Work independently to solve problems for students in clinic and coordinate with colleagues to foster long-term stakeholder relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associates of Cardiovascular Sonography or related field
- Four years full time professional experience as a cardiac sonographer
- Must be ARDMS RDCS with Adult Echocardiography (AE) OR CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Documented course work in instructional methodologies, evaluation and assessment and demonstrated proficiency in curriculum development
- Must have strong communication, organization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and counseling skills
- Current knowledge and skill in the use of information and computer technology (word processing, email, database) or proven ability to learn these skills
- Ability to travel as needed
