Job Summary
Dinner Service Cook at Avila University location prepares delicious meals for dinner service, follows basic recipes and production information, sets up workstations with ingredients and equipment, portions and cooks food items for various meal periods or events, ensures presentation and sanitation, and maintains a clean, safe kitchen in accordance with HACCP and safety policies. The role requires multi-tasking in a fast-paced kitchen, ability to work in a team, effective communication, and previous cooking and kitchen equipment experience.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as cook
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Very good communication skills
- follow basic recipes and production information
- Follow all company HACCP and safety policies
- Follow closing list to properly shut down kitchen after service
- Continuous standing/walking and other means of mobility up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull and frequently lift/move up to 30 pounds
