Job Summary
Dining Site Coordinator coordinates and supervises nutrition program meal sites, recruits and trains site volunteers, and organizes home-delivered meal services. Responsibilities include ensuring proper food storage, serving meals to participants, supervising dishwashing and site clean-up, maintaining supplies and records, making reservations for meals, reporting participant absences, liaising with participants and community partners, and providing coverage at other county nutrition sites as needed. Requires strong organizational and public-relations skills, ability to work with elderly clients and volunteers, and ability to obtain state sanitation certification during probation.

- Organizes/supervises nutrition program meal sites
- Organizes/recruits and trains volunteers at site to assist with nutrition program service
- Organizes home-delivered meal services
- Ensures proper food storage temperature
- Serves food to participants with appropriate utensils according to program policies and procedures
- Supervises/participates in dishwashing and general clean-up activities
- Maintains adequate program supplies
- Calls in reservations daily for next days meal
- Follows-up and reports questionable absences of site and home delivered participants to program manager
- Prepares and maintains necessary records to meet program requirements
- Maintains good public relations with community, local agencies, and senior consumers
- Serves as liaison between agency and nutrition program participants
- Provides coverage at other county nutrition sites as necessary
- Regular attendance and punctuality required
- Pass state sanitation certification during probationary period
