Job Summary
Maintain an adequate supply of clean kitchen utensils and dishes by washing, air drying, and restocking plates, glasses, and silverware according to sanitation methods. Operate, assemble, disassemble, clean, and de-lime the automated dishwasher while scraping soiled dishes and supervising their travel through the machine. Perform general cleaning of kitchen and dining rooms including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to ensure a safe, sanitary environment at all times. Take trash to the dumpster, sanitize all utensils, and report equipment safety issues to the Dining Services Director. Work part-time Saturdays and Sundays at The Summit of Winter Garden for $15.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate by speaking, seeing, and hearing sufficient to serve the residents
- Professional and neat appearance and presentation, adherence to the dress code, and good personal hygiene
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Be free of communicable disease
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to relate to residents and associates in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances
- Completion of drug testing and criminal record background check
- Physical requirements include bending, standing, lifting, stooping, sitting, walking, stretching, and ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must have manual dexterity to handle kitchen utensils and dishes
- Must have problem solving skills
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
