Job Summary
Operate and maintain an automated dishwasher, including assembling, disassembling, cleaning, and de-liming the unit. Wash, air dry, and restock plates, glasses, and silverware while sorting and putting away dishes according to sanitation methods. Perform general cleaning of kitchen and dining rooms, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, to ensure a safe, sanitary environment. Scrape soiled dishes, supervise their travel through the dish machine, and take trash to the dumpster. Report equipment safety issues and assist in maintaining state and local rules for kitchen safety. Full-time position with daily pay, PTO, and health benefits. Requires high school diploma, ability to lift 40 pounds, and passing background and drug screens.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate by speaking, seeing, and hearing sufficient to serve the residents
- Professional and neat appearance and presentation, adherence to the dress code, and good personal hygiene
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Be free of communicable disease
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to relate to residents and associates in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances
- Completion of drug testing and criminal record background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
- Physical requirements include bending, standing, lifting, stooping, sitting, walking, stretching, and ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must have manual dexterity to handle kitchen utensils and dishes
- Must have problem solving skills
- Must pass background check and drug screen
